What is the MSN CYPC?
Managed Service Network - what is it?
The MSN for Children and Young People with cancer, is a national network of healthcare specialists from different NHS boards across Scotland.
The care of children, teenagers and young adults with cancer in Scotland changed in 2012 and all cancer hospitals now work together as one single, cohesive service in NHS Scotland; this service is called the Managed Service Network (MSN) for Children & Young People with cancer.
This has been done to ensure that the best treatment is available to all patients irrespective of the type of cancer they have and regardless of where they live.
Scotland's doctors, nurses and therapists work together in a coordinated way to bring the best treatment to every patient at each stage of treatment.
